THE JOB: Look after all short, medium and long term financing requirements for the Middle East subsidiaries of the company.
REPORTING TO: Corporate Treasury Director
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Develop the financing strategy of the subsidiaries at the short, medium and long term in line with funding requirements and capital market appetite 2. Tap capital markets, multilateral agencies and other resources to ensure appropriate financing 3. Arrange the relevant financing ranging from soliciting proposals from banks for advisory / arrangement, to negotiating financing terms loan documentation to closing the transaction and ensuring optimal drawdown mechanism 4. Manage currency and interest rate risks on the financing through derivatives. Implement optimal derivative transactions to hedge these risks. 5. Regular liaison with vendors, banks externally and with management at the group and subsidiary level internally
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES, SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: • MBA / BBA from a recognized university preferred • Minimum 5 years experience with the corporate finance function of a company Treasury dealing in large infrastructure projects or with a bank working on project financing / loan syndications • Fluency in Arabic preferred;, fluency in English compulsory • Track record in structured debt, project financing, capital market transactions (IPOs, bonds), Islamic Financing and trade financing • Experienced in the use of derivatives and managing currency and interest rate risks • Ability to develop and execute structured financing and review and negotiate loan documentation. • Excellent written and oral communication skills • Sound negotiating skills • Ability to lead large project teams • Good networking skills
